Blue Hole Santa Rosa, New Mexico is a Sink Hole that is spring fed with a continuous 3000 gallons a minute of 64F degree temperature.  It has a max depth of 81 feet at the sealed grate to the (inaccessible fatal) caves below.  This is where many of the Scuba Open Water classes are held for the surrounding states.   

Rock Lake, Santa Rosa, NM is a privately owned lake that has a max depth of 303 feet.  This dive video was filmed all above 60 feet.  It is a new type of Wall diving, (Walls of fresh water plants instead of coral, freshwater turtles love to find refuge in these plants; so if diving Rock Lake keep your eyes peeled.)

The Scuba Company in Albuquerque, NM. hosts The Scuba Olympics each year where divers get a chance to compete for great diving prizes.  

Each year The Scuba Company in Albuquerque, NM holds a competition and PADI Distinctive Specialty on Underwater Pumpkin Carving mixed with a Spooky Night Dive.  This is the 2017 event.  There are categories for beginner to advanced (advanced is normally won by a very elaborate carve with many fine details)
