Underwater Cinematography reflects my love of diving and my expertise in photography and film making.
I am happiest when underwater with a camera.
Every underwater shot I capture is a new learning experience for me to become a better underwater cinematographer.
My experience behind a camera began in 1990 when I took my first photography class. I later graduated from the film production program at Full Sail University in 1997.
in 2001 I worked as a Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and 2nd Unit Director on an Independent feature submitted to Sundance Film Festival entitled “Last Week”
In 2002 I received a Cinematic Studies bachelors degree from James Madison University.
Many of my photographs have sold from galleries in Taos, NM and Prescott, AZ.
They have also been on display in the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
I own and primarily use my 3 different Paralenz U/W cameras (DiveCamera+, Vaquita Generation 1 outfitted w/macro lens and Vaquita Generation 2) I also shoot on SeaLife Sport Diver w/ my iPhone 13ProMax as well as a GoPro Hero 4 Black in underwater housing and extended battery.
I edit my films using Davinci Resolve and use ND music in the films.
